A Little Life Update, A Lot of Inner Work

Hi everybody,

I thought I’d share a short blog — it’s been a while since I last wrote one. Partly that’s because since my Dietra blog on the marshmallow that I posted last year, a lot has changed in my life. It feels like a long time ago now, although I think it was springtime.

So often in the wellness world we hear the phrase "physician heal thyself” It’s a saying that gets used a lot, and honestly, for good reason. As a healer — an energy therapist, or whatever label feels right — I believe it’s really important to work on myself.  As healers we should be able to “practice what we preach.”  That inner work ebbs and flows; we’re all doing bits of it all the time anyway, aren’t we?

That said, last year marked a significant shift for me.

We were coming out of a nine-year cycle in numerology, and 2025 very much carried that energy for me. If you tap into numerology, you might recognise this feeling — it was a year that seemed to speed everything up. All the things I had procrastinated around, avoided, put to one side, or quietly shelved… they came forward. There was no avoiding them any longer.

I fast-tracked a lot of self-work last year. Some of it related to my current life, some to my student life, some to previous relationships, and some to childhood. It worked on multiple layers all at once.

As healers, when we work with clients, we’re always working with layers — layers of the aura, layers of experience, layers of memory. Emotional stress, mental stress, psychic stress, physical ailments — everything gets stored in the body like a memory bank. When things become overwhelming or stuck, they don’t disappear; they embed.

So often when we release, we’re not just releasing one moment — we’re releasing years of experiences that share a similar emotional frequency. They group together. Not always, but often enough that I see it time and time again.

Through doing this work on myself, I experienced a deep repair and reconnection with my own independence — or more accurately, interdependence. That inner dependence we crave and seek to connect with. It’s something that’s been a requirement in my life, and also something I’ve struggled with deeply. I’m really pleased to say that so much has shifted. Massively.

We’re now in February 2026, and we’re ushering in the Chinese New Year — the Year of the Horse. We’ve come out of the Year of the Snake, which felt perfect for shedding the final layers of that nine-year cycle, and now we’re stepping into a brand-new one.

The Year of the Horse has extra meaning for me. Back in 2015, I fell off a horse three times in six months and haven’t felt confident riding since. The good news? After all the emotional clearing I’ve done over the last year, I realised recently that I’m ready to get back on the horse — quite literally. I’ve booked myself a lesson for the beginning of March, and I’m genuinely excited about it.

This past week in particular has felt like the final shed. Things I had forgotten about — experiences, memories, some beautiful, some challenging — came up, moved through, and cleared. I feel stronger. More connected to myself. Less invested in what other people are doing, and more open to what brings positivity into my life.

So really, this blog is a share about me working on myself. About stepping into greater responsibility — for my business, for my clients, and for my own mental, emotional, and physical health.

There are also some practical updates: - A new Mental Health Handbook is now live on the website for anyone who needs it. - You can now book for the Zen Den location via an Online booking system and a new Events Page is up, sharing meditations I run and collaborations with other therapists. - Terms and conditions have been updated. - Testimonials are all available to read.

The business is developing beautifully, and I’m genuinely looking forward to what this new cycle brings.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read. I hope you’ve enjoyed this little update. Have a wonderful day, and enjoy this ushering in of new energy.

Love and light ❤️
